Man appears in court charged with murder of Stoke-on-Trent woman



A 39-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman in Stoke-on-Trent.

Lewis Crofts is accused of killing 29-year-old Kimberley Deakin in Burslem on Friday.

Crofts, of Broadstone in Dorset, appeared before magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre this morning.

He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday November 11.
