A man has been arrested in connection with the death of young Stoke-on-Trent mum as police continue to investigate the matter.
Officers and paramedics were called to East Terrace, in Fegg Hayes, at around midday on Sunday, May 31, following the discovery of the 35-year-old’s body.
A police cordon was erected around the house and garden, with officers standing guard at the front and rear of the property.
The death has seen an outpouring of grief in the community and across the city, with flowers being laid at the scene.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman confirmed the death was still being treated as ‘unexplained’, but a 32-year-old man had been taken into custody.
He said: “Detectives are continuing to investigate after a woman’s body was found at an address in East Terrace, Fegg Hayes on May 31.
“The death of the woman, aged 35, is currently being treated as unexplained.

“A 32-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent, arrested in connection with the incident, has been bailed.
“Anyone with information is asked to message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter or call 101 quoting incident number 242 of May 31.”
