Man charged following three fires in Stoke-on-Trent

A 50-year-old man is set to appear before the courts today – Thursday June 11 – following a spate of fires in Stoke-on-Trent.

The man, who police have not yet identified, was arrested yesterday following three fires in the north of the city late on Tuesday night – including on Louise Street, Burslem, and Meir Street, Tunstall.

This morning a Staffordshire Police spokesman said:  “A 50-year-old Male has been charged with starting/attempting to start three fires in Burslem on 9th June.

“He will appear via video link in court this morning with Police seeking a remand into custody.”
