Man due in court after house fire in Stoke-on-Trent street



Police officers have named a man due in court following a house fire on a Stoke-on-Trent street.

Three police officers were treated for the affects of smoke inhalation as police, paramedics, and firefighters were called to Park Hall Avenue in Weston Coyney on Friday.

A 57-year-old man is now set to appear before the courts later today.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Duncan Milner, aged 57, of Park Hall Avenue, Weston Coyney, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life, assault and three counts of resisting a police constable in the execution of their duty.

“He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (8 June).”
