A man had to be taken to hospital after being hit by a car while trying to run away from police officers.
Police were called to Park Lane in Congleton at around 5.30pm yesterday (January 7) to reports of ‘suspicious activity’.
When they arrived at the scene they discovered three men who attempted to run off.
One was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle, and had to be taken to hospital, while the other two were arrested at the scene.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At around 5.30pm on Thursday police were called to reports of suspicious activity on Park Lane, Congleton
“Officers attended the scene and on arrival three men ran off from the area on foot; one of the men was involved in a minor collision with a car as he attempted to evade officers.
He was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure and has since been discharged.
“Two 18-year-old men have since been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs (Cannabis) in relation to the incident.
“The pair, who are both from the Congleton area, are currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.”
