Man stabbed during attempted carjacking on North Staffordshire road



A man was stabbed by would-be carjackers who flagged him down on a North Staffordshire street.

At around 10pm last night a 33-year-old man was travelling along Brown Lees Road between Harriseahead and Brown Lees when a dark coloured vehicle appeared to have broken down at the junction with Stadmorslow Lane.

Two men gestured him to pull over before demanding his keys after he left his vehicle.

The man refused and was stabbed – causing him a minor injury.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Inquiries are on-going and we are appealing for anyone in the area who saw anything suspicious last night, or anyone with dash-cam footage from Brown Lees Road to come forward and speak to officers.”
