A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A500 this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Talke roundabout on the southbound side of the carriageway, shortly before 3pm following the collision.
One lane was closed while police and paramedics dealt with the accident.
Now West Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed one man has been taken to hospital with injuries ‘not believed to be serious’.
A spokeswoman said: “We were called by the police at 2.48pm to the A34, near the A500, Talke, to reports of an RTC.
“An ambulance and paramedic officer attended the scene and arrived to find a collision involved a lorry and a car.
“One man suffered injuries not believed to be serious and was conveyed to hospital for further checks.”
Staffordshire Police say the lane is now open.
A spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision involving a lorry and car on the A500 shortly before 3pm this afternoon. The road has since reopened.”
