A man had to be taken to hospital after suffering a ‘medical episode’ in Stoke-on-Trent city centre.
Police officers and paramedics were called to Stafford Street in Hanley shortly after 11am this morning (August 21).
The busy city centre road had to be closed while they were on the scene.
Now cops have confirmed a man has been taken to hospital.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We were called shortly before 11:15 this morning by colleagues at West Midlands Ambulance Service to Stafford Street to reports of a man having a medical episode.
“He’s been taken to hospital.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics attended the scene.
“We were called at 11.01am and it is still ongoing.
“It was to reports of a medical emergency. Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended.”
