Manny Oyeleke back in Port Vale squad for King’s Lynn FA Cup tie

Port Vale midfielder Manny Oyeleke makes a welcome return to the squad for this afternoon’s FA Cup first round tie at home to King’s Lynn.

Oyeleke has been out with a muscle injury but is named on the bench. John Askey has unsurprisingly named the same starting XI that won 2-0 at Southend in League Two last weekend.

That was Vale’s  third consecutive league win, a run that has put them into the lay-off spots.

Port Vale: Brown; Clark, Legge, Smith, Crookes, Joyce, Burgess, Conlon, Amoo, Pope, Worrall.

Askey is expected to stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation with Scott Burgess and Tom Conlon given attacking midfield roles ahead of holding midfielder Luke Joyce. Dave Amoo and Dave Worrall will start on the right and left wing respectively, with Tom Pope up front.
