Mass brawl erupts ‘and car hits pedestrian’ outside Stoke-on-Trent petrol station – police are on the scene

A mass brawl erupted outside a Stoke-on-Trent petrol station and a man has reportedly been hit by a car this evening.

Footage of the fight involving around 10 people  has been circulating on social media.

It shows a silver car parked with its doors open on the forecourt of the garage in Waterloo Road, Burslem, outside Subway.

At one point a bucket is thrown before a woman starts hitting at least two other people with a wooden bat.

Two men can also be seen tussling over what appears to be a metal stool.

A second video shows the trouble spilling on to Macintyre Street with a man then seen smashing someone over with the bat.

Eye-witnesses  also report that a car had mounted the pavement before hitting a pedestrian.

It is believed at least one person has been seriously injured.

Around nine police cars and an ambulance then descended on the scene at around 6.30pm today.

Staffordshire Police confirmed they are currently dealing with the incident and will release a statement in due course.

It is not known at this stage if any arrests have been made.

One woman said: “There are at least nine police cars and an ambulance. A car has also been smashed up.”
