The founder of a new, online-only estate agents is keen to help you sell your home.
Feeney Estate Agents was set up late last year by estate agent Sian Beech from Werrington, who has more than a decade of experience in the industry.
The mum-of-one originally landed a job as maternity cover at Reeds Rains in Tunstall before being offered a full time role.
From there, she has held several roles including branch manager and negotiator, all of which have led her to where she is today.
As a small, remote business, Sian is able to invest more time into a client’s selling journey – and she charges a fixed selling fee of just £995 on a no sale, no fee basis.
“I absolutely love my career,” said the 31-year-old. “I worked my way up and decided that now was the right time to branch out on my own and give it a go.
“I’m an online agent with Feeney Estate Agents. Everything can be done online, and when necessary I can head out for viewings and meetings.
“I have always known that I’d love to go solo, but last year I sold my first house, and for the first time I was in the sellers shoes. After completing that process I was able to really empathise with how tough and stressful the process can be.
“I did everything myself in the selling process, and I just thought, ‘I could do this for everyone else too’. I just want to be able to help people through what can be a really stressful time.”
Sian currently has five houses on her Feeney books and she has just sold her first house – subject to completion – in Bucknall.
“At the moment, the houses we have on our books have come from word of mouth and reccomendations, so we are really keen to put ourselves out there as much as possible.

“The market hasn’t seen a massive difference really, but buyer demand is outstripping supply at the moment.
“With working from home and home schooling, people are happy to stay put and they’re not really in any rush to move.”
Sian admits she was ‘nervous’ to set up her own business during the pandemic, but she said it was ‘now or never’.
“I’ve always wanted to do this, and things are always going to happen – you can’t stall life – so you’ve just got to go for it.
“I was definitely nervous to launch my own business, especially in these uncertain times, but I just think that it’s now or never.
“You need to grab life by the horns, life is too short, and at least I’ve given it my all and really tried.”
Whether it’s Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, Sian is also keen to take full advantage of any and all social media platforms to grow her brand.
“Social media is so important these days, and I have really tried to optimise that – I’m even on TikTok! I think that people like to know who they’re buying into and it’s important to show your face and let people get to know you.
“With my estate agents, I work differently than big name brands. The experience is a lot more personal and I’m really invested in the seller’s journey.
“I’m not a nine to five, I’m not going to log off and you can’t get hold of me. If I’m on my phone, which is most of the time, then I’m always available.
“I’m really committed to my clients. Selling a home is such a massive thing to do and people put a lot of trust into estate agents. We work for you and I just want to make the whole process as stress-free as I possibly can.
“I’m able to offer better prices as working online is so much more cost effective. We’re not paying for a premises or a big brand name. We only charge a fixed fee of £995 to sell on a no sale, no fee basis.
“The past year has really proved how much we can do remotely and from home, and working online is so much safer, especially at the moment.”

As she grows her business and when restrictions ease, Sian is also committed to giving back to her local community and supporting local good causes wherever she can.
“£50 from every completion will go to the vendor’s chosen charity, and the donation will be made in their name.
“I think it’s so important these days that if you have a platform and you’re able to give back in this way, that you do where you can.
“Hopefully when the pandemic is over and restrictions ease, Feeney can integrate more into the local community.
“I’m not a greedy person, I just want to steadily grow my business and keep it as a family-run thing. My sister is also in the same business so she could potentially come on board one day, but for now it’s just me.”
