A pharmacy is set to welcome customers back through its doors this week after confirming a member of staff was struck down with coronavirus.
Grahams Pharmacy, in Smallthorne, brought in a ‘closed-door policy’ in response to the Covid-19 case and a ‘high volume of aggressive behaviour’ from customers.
It has resulted in customers waiting on Ford Green Road for their prescriptions.
The affected employee has self-isolated and all of their colleagues have had negative coronavirus tests.
In a Facebook post to customers, the pharmacy said: “NHS England, track and trace, and environmental health have all been involved with us and checked out our policies, which were fine.
“We have taken this step to protect customers and staff. The normal open-door service will resume this week.
“We are trying our best but unfortunately we are doing the best thing we feel is right. Please bear with us in these uncertain times.”
