A motorist travelling down the middle lane of the M6Toll was pulled over by police for doing ‘excess speed’.
Officers from the Staffordshire Police Road Policing Unit (RPU) – a team of dedicated traffic cops – stopped the driver on the private motorway earlier today (April 25).
As well as flouting the speed limit, officers say the driver had no insurance as he was driving his friends car.
He was later arrested and the car seized after they discovered a large amount of cash.
A Staffs Police RPU spokesman said: “This car was stopped on the M6Toll for excess speed and sitting in lane two.
“Then no insurance as it was his friend’s car.
“Following a drug search a large amount of cash was found which could not be accounted for.
“The driver arresed and car seized.”
