More than 220 cases of Covid-19 have now been confirmed in the Cheshire East Council area – according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
There are now 226 cases of coronavirus confirmed in the area – up from 209 in yesterday’s update.
Elsewhere in Cheshire there are 261 cases in Cheshire West and Chester, 182 in Warrington and 127 in Halton.
Birmingham still has the highest number of confirmed cases of any single local authority area in England – with 1,462.
As with all numbers regarding confirmed Covid-19 cases due to limited testing the actual number will be far higher.
There have been a total of 29 deaths at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – which includes Crewe’s Leighton Hospital.
East Cheshire NHS Trust, which includes Macclesfield District General Hospital and Congleton War Memorial Hospital, has recorded 13 deaths.
There have been 65 deaths at the UHNM Trust – which includes Royal Stoke University Hospital and Stafford County Hospital.
There have now been 60,733 confirmed cases across the country and 7,097 deaths across the UK.
