Motorist arrested for drug offences after being stopped on M6 in Staffordshire



A driver was arrested on the M6 this morning on suspicion of drug offences.

Police officers from the Staffordshire Police Dogs and Armed Response team along with the specialist Central Motorway Policing Group arrested a driver near the M6 in Staffordshire.

It is believe the motorist had been offending in Stafford.

A Staffs Dogs and ARV spokesman said: “Shift 2 ARV last night assisted CMPG with the stinging of a vehicle just off the M6 in Stafford.

“The vehicle was involved in drug supply in Stafford.

“Vehicle stopped safely and one male detained after a search from PC Coates and her drugs dog.”
