Motorist blows twice the drink-drive limit after crashing car in North Staffordshire



A motorist is this morning in custody having blown twice the drink-drive limit after a crash on a North Staffordshire road.

Officers from the Staffordshire Police Response team attended the collision late last night (April 11).

They did not reveal where the accident took place.

But a 43-year-old male has been arrested.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “The driver of this vehicle, a 43 year old male, was arrested tonight for drink driving and having no insurance.

“He was over twice the legal drink drive limit.

“Thankfully, nobody was injured”

The legal drink-drive limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 ml of breath.
