Mountain Rescue Team called to serious incident in Staffordshire Moorlands


A mountain rescue team was called out to assist at a serious incident in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

The Buxton Mountain Rescue Team were called to Hen Cloud in The Roaches at around 1.30pm this afternoon to reports of an injured person.

Paramedics, along with the air ambulance, also attended the incident and treated the person in situ before they were transferred to a waiting ambulance and taken to hospital.

A Buxton Mount Rescue Team spokesman said: “The team was called to an incident at Hen Cloud, to assist the ambulance service and the Midlands Air Ambulance with an injured person.

“After treatment by Midlands and Air Ambulance paramedics, the casualty was placed on a mountain rescue stretcher and carried to a waiting ambulance before being transferred to hospital.
