Tens of thousands of residents are to receive a calendar telling them when their bins will be emptied.
Stafford Borough Council is posting out the calendar as well as a booklet detailing what can be put in each bin from this week.
The maildrop will cover 60,000 homes.
But it is the last time the council will send out the information as it looks to cut costs and reduce the amount of paper it uses.
Councillor Jonathan Price, cabinet member for the environment, said: “We will be sending out around 60,000 calendars and booklets this month.
“The booklet details what can and cannot be recycled along with information about what happens to recycling and other waste when it is collected from the kerbside.
“But with all that information available online already it makes sense for us to save on resources going forward.
“Anyone who does not have access to the internet can still receive a copy through the post.”
