No increase in the number of Coronavirus-related deaths at Royal Stoke University and County Hospitals



There have been no coronavirus-related deaths at the Royal Stoke University and County Hospitals within the last 24 hours.

Latest data released by Public Health England shows there have been 274 deaths at Royal Stoke University Hospital in Hartshill and Stafford’s County Hospital.

The number remains the same as yesterday.

Five people have lost their lives at the North Staffordshire Combined Trust – which includes the Harplands Hospital.

And at the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust – which operates Haywood Hospital, Cheadle Community Hospital, Leek Moorlands Hospital, Bradwell Community Hospital and others – the figure remains the same as yesterday with 6 deaths.

At the Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust – which includes Crewe’s Leighton Hospital – 163 people have now died having been tested positive for coronavirus, again no increase.

At the East Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust – which looks after Congleton War Memorial Hospital and Macclesfield District General Hospital – the number of deaths has remained the same since yesterday with 103 deaths.

The total number of deaths in the UK now stands at 35,341 – with 545 people dying within the last 24 hours across hospitals and care homes. the largest increase in a week, however the death toll continues to trend downward overall.

The latest death toll includes a seven-year-old in England, officials say.
