No new deaths linked to Covid-19 at all nine local hospitals in last 24 hours



No deaths linked to Covid-19 have been recorded at Stoke-on-Trent’s main hospital and eight others in the area in the past 24 hours.

Latest data released by Public Health England shows there have been 322 deaths recorded at Royal Stoke University Hospital and Stafford’s County Hospital.

There has also been no increase in deaths at the North Staffordshire Combined Trust – which includes the Harplands Hospital. The figure remains at six.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths at the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust – which operates Haywood Hospital, Cheadle Community Hospital, Leek Moorlands Hospital and Bradwell Community Hospital among others – remains at 11.

At the Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust, which includes Crewe’s Leighton Hospital, 200 people have died – the same figure as yesterday.

Andt the East Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust – which looks after Congleton War Memorial Hospital and Macclesfield District General Hospital – the number of deaths remains 127.

Nationally, the UK death toll now stands at 41,662.

The number of new UK cases in the past 24 hours is 1,425.
