Port Vale fans have been reacting to the latest announcement from the EFL, which stated that matches could be played behind closed doors.
The Valiants ’ season is currently suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, with no clear sign of when, or indeed if, the campaign will resume.
Prior to the suspension, Vale occupied eighth place in the Sky Bet League Two table, one point adrift of the play-off places with nine league fixtures left to play.
In an open letter from EFL chairman Rick Parry, he admits he does not know when games will restart, but expects them to be played behind closed doors whenever football can get underway.
Vale fans have been reacting to this news, with an overwhelming amount express their anger and frustration.

Dave Lownds: “What about people with season tickets for this year? Will we get a discount for next season? Seems we’re doing the right thing for people employed by the club so same for the fans would be nice.”
Caroline Clowes: “Void it then, there is no point.”
Gregory Dix: “Can we get some crowd noises coming through the speakers.”
Wez Dale: “I’ll be surprised if there’s any fans at football come the start of next season too!”
Gary Benson: “I’m intrigued to know how the players will all be social distancing during the matches ? Hmm or does their health not matter?”
Chris Edge: “Can’t get fairer than that. Season ticket holders getting free access I hear?”
TheValiants1876: “Personally I think it’s the best thing to do now. Get the season done with as quickly as possible as it’s easier to start next season at a later date than trying to cancel this one.”
