North Staffordshire beauty spot plagued by off-road bikers

Police officers have issued an appeal after a North Staffordshire beauty spot was plagued by off-road bikers.

Officers say they have received ‘some reports’ about bikers at Apedale Country Park near Chesterton.

Anyone using the country park for their daily exercise is now being warned to watch out for motorcycles using the popular walking route.

And officers say they will be ramping up patrols to identify the culprits.

PCSO Hannah Chaplin from Staffordshire Police said: “We have received some reports of off road bikes being ridden around Apedale Country Park, please be vigilant when out and about walking in the area.

“We will be in and around the area over the coming days and if these individuals are spotted they will be dealt with accordingly.

“If you witness anything or wish to report suspicious activity please contact Staffordshire Police via digital 101 or Staffordshire Police website.”
