A North Staffordshire mum has bought joy to dozens of children after delivering a message with the Easter Bunny.
Each year Amy Durber, from Ball Haye Green, delivers a chocolate egg and a card to children in North Staffordshire along with the Easter Bunny.
However, this year she is not able to go out due to the coronavirus lockdown.
Amy, 32, who runs two business – Amy’s Haven as a beautician and Amy’s Parties as a children’s party host – has instead decided to make a personalised video with the Easter Bunny which has been sent to kids whose parents requested it.
And, says mum-of-one Amy, she has been inundated with requests – and bowled over by the interest.
She said: “As I couldn’t go out to deliver Easter Eggs with the Easter Bunny, I wanted to do something that was just as good and free – so I asked people to send me requests for a personal video message.
“I can’t believe the reaction I have had – it’s been amazing. I’ve had so many requests from parents wanting to do something magical this Easter that we have had to record the message and put children’s names on the video as there were too many to do a video for each one.
“I just wanted to do something that was magical for the children and make them happy – it must be very hard for some people to be at home all the time. I know I’m missing being able to go out to work.”
In the video, Amy – who had a little help from son Callum, step-daughter Louise and partner, Richard – can be seen standing next to the Easter Bunny. She says: “We know things are really difficult right now, but don’t worry Easter’s not cancelled. Stay safe guys!”
