Parents have been warned not to park across North Staffordshire driveways while on the school run.
Police officers in Kidsgrove and Talke have issued the warning saying residents are getting annoyed at badly parked cars during drop-off and pick-up times.
They say badly parked cars mean people cannot access the driveways and the emergency services could struggle to access homes.
But officers did not say which schools in the area posed a particular issue to nearby residents.
PC Thomas Davies from Staffordshire Police said: “People picking up and dropping off from local schools are being asked to be considerate towards residents when parking their vehicles.
“While it is appreciated that there will only be a short period of time at school pick-up and drop-off when there will be an issue, it can never be acceptable to park across people’s driveways.
“This restricts access for carers, ambulances, and emergency access or exits.
“Please be considerate where you park your vehicles when picking up/dropping off from school.”
