North Staffordshire pub practically giving away booze as it clears cellar due to lockdown closure

A popular North Staffordshire pub is selling off booze at a discount price after being forced to temporarily close due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Bar Social, in Newcastle, is trying to clear its cellar as it gears up for a planned December relaunch.

Urging people to get their hands on some ‘bargain beer’, Bar Social wrote on social media: “We have got to empty our cellar ready to restock and reopen when Boris says go.

“If you are missing proper draught beer then we can help as we sell off our stock.

“Each container is five litres which is just under nine pints, freshly dispensed and sealed with a tamper proof lid.

“If you are lucky enough to have a home bar we can also offer full kegs.”

What beers are on offer

Stella Artois – £10

Coors Light – £12

East Coast IPA – £12

San Miguel – £15

Guinness – £15

Blue Moon – £15

Estrella Galicia – £15

The beer is ready to collect from the Lymelight Boulevard bar by appointment only. Alternatively, if you buy three they will deliver free of charge.
