Police are investigating after an elderly woman was pushed up against a wall as men ransacked her home to steal Christmas presents and cash.
The burglary took place at an address in Bowman Grove in Fegg Hayes at around 7pm last night.
Two men broke into the house and forced the woman, in her 80s, up against the wall before making off with wrapped presents and a quantity of money.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman appealed for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
He added: “The woman was not injured but was shaken up by the incident and is being cared for by family.
“One of the men is described as wearing a long brown raincoat. They are believed to have had Irish accents.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 or via social media referring to incident 568 of December 23.”
