Dundee United are “open” to Lawrence Shankland leaving this summer – but their American owner Mark Ogren insists he wants more than £3m for the striker.
The 24-year-old has been linked with Stoke City because of his impressive form for Dundee United and Scotland this season, scoring 29 goals in 35 matches.
“We’d be very happy to keep him (beyond the summer). If the situation was right for Lawrence and the club we are open to a situation where he would leave in the summer but if that doesn’t happen we are very happy to keep him,” Ogren told the Daily Record.
Asked if the club would be tempted by an offer in the region of £3m, Ogren replied: “It would definitely have to be more than that.”
