Paramedics called after patient plunges off roof near Stoke-on-Trent hotel

A patient refused medical treatment after plunging off a town centre roof.

It is thought that the person fell six-foot off a building near The Crown Hotel, in Longton, in the middle of the night.

Paramedics were called to King Street, in Longton, at 1.16am on Friday, April 10.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a patient who had fallen approximately six-foot off a roof near The Crown Hotel. One ambulance attended but the patient declined treatment.”

That 999 call was made just three hours after paramedics had attended an earlier incident on King Street. This was at 10.10pm on Thursday, April 9 at a property on the street.

The ambulance service spokesman added: “We were called by the police to a property on King Street. One ambulance attended and treated one woman before she was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
