Police appeal for footage after ‘incident’ in Stoke-on-Trent square



Police are appealing for footage following an incident in a Stoke-on-Trent town centre.

Officers were called to Tower Square, Tunstall, shortly before 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

One man was arrested and has since been released under investigation.

Now police are urging anyone with information to contact them.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said:  “One male was detained at the scene by officers he has been issued with a Community Protection Warning Notice which has conditions to control his behaviour and Released Under Investigation.

“If you have any footage of the incident please contact Staffordshire police via Facebook or by using 101 quoting incident number 21200058135.”

There have been a number of issues in Tower Square in recent weeks – including an aggressive beggar, drug use and a man allegedly performing a sex act in the street.
