Police appeals after two Stoke-on-Trent men found dead in their homes

Police are appealing for help in tracing the next of kin of two Stoke-on-Trent men found dead in their homes.

Arthur Williams, aged 63, died at his home in Kirkup Walk, Longton, on April 11, while John Wardle, also of Longton, died on April 8.

Officers have not issued the address of Mr Wardle, who was aged 62.

Neither death is being treated as suspicious.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman, who issued the appeal on behalf of Her Majesty’s Coroner, said: “The Coroner needs to trace their next of kin.

“Any family members or friends of Mr Williams and Mr Wardle, or anyone who can provide information as to possible relatives, are asked to email coroners@stoke.gov.uk.”
