Police are still keeping guard outside this North Staffordshire house – exactly a week after gran’s murder

A house remains cordoned off today – exactly a week after a woman was murdered in her own home.

Marked cars have been stationed outside the property on Tunstall Road, Knypersley, throughout the weekend.

Police tape also remains across the driveway and around the front door of the house.

It comes as Staffordshire Police are still hunting for the person who murdered grandmother Wendy Morse. They discovered the 71-year-old after smashing their way into the property last weekend.

Detectives are also continuing to appeal for more information about a green Honda Civic – registration number OK62 AMS – which was driven from Biddulph to Sneyd Green, via Bemersley Road and Norton, between midday and 3pm on Thursday, March 19.

Police are appealing for sightings of this green Honda Civic as they hunt for Wendy Morse’s murderer

That was three days before Wendy’s body was discovered on Sunday, March 22.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out following Wendy’s death. But more tests are needed to confirm the exact cause of death.

Anyone with any dash-cam footage of the Honda Civic or any information which could assist with the murder investigation should call the police on 101, quoting incident number 481 of March 22, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
