Police officers have called off their search for a missing man after a body was found in a wooded area.
Concern was raised for 24-year-old Jordan Lawton after he was last seen around 11am on Monday, December 21 in the Crewe area.
Police launched a search across the county looking around Haslington and Alsager as well as Barthomley, Radway Green and areas of Staffordshire.
But the search has now been called off after a body was discovered in a wooded area of Crewe earlier this afternoon.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Sadly officers searching for a missing man have found a body in wooded area in Crewe.
“The body has been formally identified as Jordan Lawton.
“His family are aware and we request their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”
