Police were called after a ‘polite’ man was found hiding in a North Staffordshire garden.
The man was spotted in a garden in the Chesterton area of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough.
When approached the man – who is believe to have been intoxicated – left the area.
A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “We have been made aware of an incident whereby a male was seen to be hiding in the garden of a property. When challenged the male was polite and proceeded to leave the area when asked to do so.
“The male in question appeared to be under the influence of either drink or drugs.”
