Police called after three ‘suspicious males’ seen looking into cars in Staffordshire village

Families are being told to remain vigilant after three ‘suspicious males’ were seen looking into cars in a Staffordshire village.

A concerned resident in Sanderson Way, Codsall, raised the alarm after spotting the trio lurking around houses.

However police officers say no vehicles were actually taken from the new-build housing estate.

The caller said the men were wearing dark clothes and all had their faces covered by scarves.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “I’d like to inform you that we have had a report about three suspicious males looking into vehicles.

“The main report was from a resident in Sanderson Way, Codsall Village which is on the new estate.

“The males are described as wearing dark clothing with their faces covered by scarves.

“No vehicles were stolen overnight, but please can I ask that if you see anything suspicious to call the Police immediately so we can get patrols to the area.”
