Police were called following a sudden death at a block of flats in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers and paramedics arrived at the address at Lancashire Court, in Federation Road, Burslem, yesterday evening (November 7).
It has not been confirmed at this stage whether the deceased was a man or a woman.
More details are expected to be released tomorrow before an inquest is opened in due course.
However, police have moved to reassure residents that there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Police attended a sudden death in Federation Road, Burslem, at 7pm on Saturday.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report has been prepared for HM Coroner.”
