Police have caught four bikers riding around off-road at a quarry in North Staffordshire during lockdown.
Officers from Newcastle-under-Lyme encountered the group at Hanson Quarry in Blackbrook earlier today.
Since the lockdown began, Staffordshire Police have been reminding residents only to travel for essential journeys such as shopping for food or travelling to work where it can’t be done from home.
But despite the almost daily reminders, some still appear to be ignoring the message and flouting the rules.
The four bikes were seized by police and the offenders will be dealt with ‘accordingly’.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Just a reminder that Hanson Quarry in Blackbrook does NOT permit off-road motorcycling.
“Officers from Newcastle have intercepted these off-road motorcycles. All four bikes have been recovered and the riders will be dealt with accordingly.
“Stay homes, save lives and protect our NHS.”
