A man has been jailed after police caught him in the street with £1,500 in cash and a quantity of monkey dust.
Morgan Bailey had been with Steven Dawkins when the pair were stopped and searched by officers in Greengate Street, Stafford, on May 29, 2018.
The cash was seized from the 22-year-old before 4.1g of the Class B drug was also discovered on Dawkins’ person.
Officers the conducted a search of Bailey’s Merrivale Road home in Rising Brook, where a further £770 cash was found with 64g of cannabis, scales and bags.
After his arrest, Bailey pleaded guilty to possessing drugs with intent to supply. as well as being concerned in the supply of cannabis and acquiring/using criminal property.
Now he has been jailed for two years at Stafford Crown Court. Dawkins pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply the drug and was sentenced to 14 months on January 2 earlier this year.

“We want to send out a clear message that we will not tolerate dealing and will bring offenders before the courts.”
