Police officers have closed a trouble-plagued flat in Stoke-on-Trent.
Staffordshire Police applied to North Staffordshire Justice Centre to have the flat in North Court, North Street, Stoke shut.
Magistrates have now granted the order which means no one will be allowed to enter the property until 2021.
Police officers say the flat was closed after concerns from local residents.
The order states: “A person commits an offence if they remain on or enter this premises and can be arrested.
“If found guilty they are liable for a fine or imprisonment.
“This premises has been sealed and no further entry will be allowed. The occupier will therefore be required to find alternative accommodation.”
Police officers from the Stoke-on-Trent South Policing team applied for the closure.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “A Closure Order has been granted under the Anti Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 in respect of a property on North Court, North Street, Stoke after officers from the Harm Reduction Hub at Stoke South LPT took action following concerns raised by local residents.”
