Police cordon off North Staffordshire walkway after incident in early hours

Police have cordoned off a North Staffordshire walkway following an incident in the early hours.

Officers were dispatched to the Station Walks pathway, which runs between Hempstalls Lane and Queen Street, in Newcastle-under-Lyme earlier this morning.

Both sides of the walkway are cordoned off and police remain at the scene this morning.

The nature of the incident has not yet been released.
