Police discover 160-plant cannabis farm in house after neighbour tip-offs



Police officers discovered 160 cannabis plants in a South Cheshire property.

Officers from Cheshire Police raided a property in Laura Street, Crewe, following concerns from nearby families.

There they discovered a ‘sophisticated’ cannabis farm worth around £160,000.

They are now appealing for more witnesses to come forward.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “On October 31, following information received from members of the public, a large cannabis farm was located by A block response on Laura Street in Crewe.

“One-hundred-and-sixth Cannabis plants were found in a sophisticated cannabis farm.

“The Cannabis seized is believed to have a street value of around £160,000.

“A police investigation is ongoing.”
