Police officers have discovered a body in a Stoke-on-Trent property.
Officers attended Amison Street in Meir Hay shortly after midday today after the alarm was raised about a male.
On arrival they discovered a man had died.
The death is not thought to be suspicious.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We were called to a property in Amison Street, Meir Hay, just after midday today.
“A man was found deceased at the property. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
Eyewitnesses reported up to five police cars were present at the property.
One said: “There has been activity on Amison Street. I think someone has died.
“It has been going on all day and five police cars were there at one point.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics attended.
A spokesman said: “We were called at 12.09pm to reports of a medical emergency in Amison Street. One ambulance attended a call to a male patient.”
