Police discovered cannabis grow after being called to house party during coronavirus lockdown



Police officers were called to reports of a house party during the coronavirus lockdown – and discovered a cannabis grow.

Officers from the Staffordshire Police Response team were helping to patrol the UK-wide lockdown imposed by Boris Johnson to help stem the spread of Covid-19.

But when the arrived at their job they discovered more than initially expected.

A Staffordshire Police Response spokesman said: “A clear example of irresponsible individuals flouting the government’s lockdown rules tonight – officers attended reports of a house party.

“A cannabis grow was found and three are now in custody.”

Officers did not reveal the exact location of the party.
