Police find body of man, in his 40s, at Stoke-on-Trent home


Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was found at a Stoke-on-Trent home.

Emergency services were called to a property in Harrison Road, Norton, yesterday where the sad discovery was made.

Neighbours in the street had raised the alarm after growing concerned about the welfare of the man, who was in his 40s and from Stoke-on-Trent.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said the death was currently being treated as unexplained and investigative work continues at the scene.

He added: The man’s next of kin are currently being informed and specially trained officers are providing support for them at this difficult time.

“Formal identification of the body is yet to take place. A scene remains at the address while the investigative team work to establish the circumstances leading up to the man’s death.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called by the police to Harrison Road, Norton, at 4.23pm yesterday.

“One ambulance attended and sadly one man was confirmed deceased by paramedics on scene.”
