Police hunting suspect after man threatened with knife in Stoke-on-Trent



Police have been searching for a suspect after a man was threatened with a knife in Stoke-on-Trent last night (January 19).

Officers were called at 10.30pm to reports of a man being threatened with a knife on Anchor Road in Adderley Green.

Officers searched the area and an eye-witness reported six police cars and a riot van at a nearby petrol station on Dividy Road.

But the man was not located.

Now anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police.

A spokesman said: “We were called at 10.30pm last night (Tuesday 19 January) to reports of a man being threatened with a knife on Anchor Road in Adderley Green.

“Officers searched the area but the man was not located.

“Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 724 of 19 January, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
