Police investigating after young boy seen running alone in Stoke-on-Trent walkway

Police are investigating after a young boy was spotted running alone in a Stoke-on-Trent walkway.

Officers were called to the Cobridge area this morning after the child, aged four or five, was seen running between Emerson Road and Bursley Road at around 5.30am.

He is reported to have black hair and to have been wearing a blue and orange striped jacket, dark jogging bottoms and trainers.

A search of neighbouring streets and land has taken place and officers have also spoken with residents and viewed CCTV footage, which showed a woman running down the walkway at 5.40am.

Further CCTV are being carried out, but so far the police investigation has shown there is nothing to suggest anything untoward and no missing young children reports have been filed in the county today.
