Police investigating incident in Stoke-on-Trent street which left man injured



Police are investigating an incident in a Stoke-on-Trent street which left a man needing treatment for injuries.

Emergency services were called out to Windermere Street, Cobridge, at around 11am this morning.

Attending paramedics assessed one man for minor injuries before leaving the incident in the hands of the police.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing around three police vehicles parked nearby in Mulgrave Street and Waterloo Road.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman confirmed an investigation had been launched and inquiries were ongoing.

He said: “We were called to Windermere Street in Cobridge to reports of an incident taking place shortly after 11am this morning (Tuesday, May 26).

“An investigation is ongoing and local CCTV inquiries are taking place.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 11.01am to just off Waterloo Road.

“One ambulance was sent to the scene and we assessed a man with minor injuries.”
