Community police officers have issued an appeal after off-road bikers were spotted on land in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Staffordshire Police officers attended land off Dial Lane and Red Lane in Rushton Spencer yesterday (January 14).
The callers spotted damage caused to land from the bikes.
Officers say it has become an ‘on-going problem’ in the area and causes problems for both the local area and wildlife.
PCSO Laura Peacock from Staffordshire Police said: “Local residents have reported damage, that has been caused by off road bikes to the land off Red Lane and Dial Lane in Rushton Spencer.
“Similar incidents have also been reported at Ravensclough woods and around the location of Cloudside.
This has been an ongoing problem in the area where off road bikes, quad bikes and Land Rovers have caused damage to land, wildlife and sites that are of biological importance (SBI).
“If you see any vehicle acting in an anti-social manner please contact 101 or report online.”
