Police issue Christmas warning as courier has eight parcels stolen in Stoke-on-Trent



Police officers have issued a warning to courier drivers after a parcel was stolen in Stoke-on-Trent city centre.

It comes after three men approached the back of a van that was parked in Ridgway Road by Hanley Park yesterday (December 16) at around 5pm.

The driver was inside the van trying to locate a package but the thieves managed to getaway with eight parcels before escaping in a car.

Chief Inspector Mark Barlow of Staffordshire Police said: “This is a busy time of year for delivery drivers and should they be targeted in this way it is important they contact the police immediately.”
