Police launch appeal after historic roadside sign stolen in Staffordshire Moorlands



Police officers have launched an appeal after a historic roadside sign was pinched from the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Police officers were called to Endon after the Queens Cross was stolen from the roadside.

Now officers say they are keen to identify the thieves.

A Staffordshire Moorlands Police spokesman said: “Heritage crime is taken very seriously by the Police.

“If you have any knowledge of the Queens Cross taken from the roadside in the Endon area of the Moorlands please contact Police and quote reference 260-05/03/21.

“Officers are keen to recover the stone and identify the thieves.”
