Police launch hate crime investigation after firework thrown at Staffordshire takeaway



Police officers have launched a hate crime investigation after a firework was hauled at a Staffordshire takeaway.

Officers were called to Uxbridge Street in Burton following an incident on Sunday, November 8.

The incident saw a firework thrown at a takeaway.

A man is in custody.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Officers have made an arrest in relation to a reported hate crime incident at a takeaway in Burton.

“The incident saw fireworks fired into the front of the takeaway on Uxbridge Street on the evening of Sunday (8 November).

“A male has now been arrested and inquiries are ongoing at this time.”
